With Nevarra, Antiva, and Tevinter all on the horizon, Dragon Age 4 will be taking fans to the corners of Thedas previously unexplored yet heavily talked about. We might even see the hidden depths of Nevarra with a possible Mortalitassi companion, something we explored in-depth with our previous coverage here.

Fans have been hungry to learn more about what's next - especially regarding a certain egghead named Solas. The last trailer to enjoy was given to us late last year, filled with even more artwork and our first look at Tevinter's high-society landscapes and a glimpse at those pesky Antivan Crows. After being used as a pawn by Corphyeus due to a created False Calling, the Order was left in disarray, banished back to Weisshaupt to regroup. :) 🐉⚔️🛡️🐉 /LbAmD1SKGRĭepending on what you did with the Wardens in Dragon Age Inquisition, the future of those that protect Thedas from the Blight is precarious and unstable. I hope everyone is staying safe and doing well. The last Dragon Age title, Dragon Age: Inquisition, was released in 2014.I got you! Is this the right amount of pointy and gray? The next Dragon Age was first unveiled at The Game Awards in 2018 with the tagline “The Dread Wolf rises”, along with images of Inquisition antagonist Solas. It came across a bit like a college ad for the concept of BioWare games, talking about the big picture design philosophies and fan favorite aspects of the Dragon Age franchise rather than any particular detail of the next game. It’s surprising for a behind-the-scenes look at the title to still be so vague and unclear it looks as though BioWare is not yet ready to reveal much in the way of story details or gameplay systems.

There wasn’t a whole lot of information in the behind-the-scenes look, but we learned the next Dragon Age will focus on happens when you don’t have access to power, and when the people in charge are not addressing the world’s problems.Īs much of this is concept art and animations in a grey room testing environment, it’s clear that the next Dragon Age is still early in development.

This included a look at some concept art, an interview with developers on the project, and an idea of some of the larger themes in the game’s narrative. BioWare revealed a behind-the-scenes look at the next Dragon Age game on Thursday at Gamescom’s Opening Night Live stream.
